While we can't wait to have you all back when it is possible to do so in a safe way, we wanted to make things easier for you in the meantime. Hopefully, you have seen our general guide to using the online catalog, but we decided to make one specifically for help with searching for children's books. Please reach out to us with any questions, and we are always available to make recommendations for books as well!

It can be difficult to talk with your children about Black Lives Matter and racism in America. One way to make it easier is to use age appropriate books that will help your child understand the reality of the situation at an appropriate level. The books here range in subject, from historical looks at the Civil Rights Movement, to contemporary looks at racism, to biographies of famous activists. Place a hold on our online catalog or call us at (914) 693-6636.
